BECOMING A SHS TENANT

Who do we provide accommodation for?

Older People

Flats for older people are provided in a  number of sheltered schemes in the Borough.  Most schemes have a Scheme Manager on site and are linked to a Monitoring Centre for 24 hour emergency cover.

We aim to provide a pleasant and supportive environment in which residents remain as independent as possible.  London Borough of Sutton Social Services or voluntary agencies may provide additional support for tenants as necessary.

Tenants with high care needs receive a community Care Assessment by Social Services.  A number of flats are designed for wheelchair users.

Families

We have 1 and 2 bedroom flats and 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses for rent.  A number of flats are designed for wheelchair users.

Single Vulnerable People

We have a range of accommodation including self contained flats or a room in a house with shared communal facilities.  We provide support with the help of other agencies.  Our clients include young people leaving care, people with mental health problems, people with learning disabilities and ex-offenders.
